The brews are always meant to be popped asap, and are noticeable fresh. Confession time: I&#8217;ve been a huge bitch when it comes to Black IPAs. Who knows, I \u00a0just always felt that if I wanted nutty, coffee, or malted flavors I would drink a Porter or Stout. I usually like to keep my India pale ales hoppy, golden, and crisp. This beer is beginning to change my mind&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Oh baby is it hoppy, \u00a0but there is so much more in there. Really enjoying all the other aftertastes that arise after the initial swig. The malted flavor goes nice with the bitter paleness.\u00a0Sensing\u00a0some coffee in there too, but the core of it is still just plain. phenomenal, hoppy IPA. Would highly recommend it, and definitely to those who are wary to black IPAs. However, it is a little too flavorful for a 20oz bottle. Would really have enjoyed a 16oz draft at a bar with dinner, or a 12oz draft to start out a night of drinking.
